CWR Private Membership
Private Memberships
Annual fees are based on the fiscal year and once again, you do not have to own a horse.
We will schedule one work day per quarter and members will be asked to work on those scheduled days. In most cases we will also schedule in food and a trail ride or some equine activity to end the work day.
For more information on ranch amenties, view our Camelot Wilderness Ranch Atlas and Field Guide.
Our ranch is our home, not a public camp ground. We have created and maintain a private, serene area because we love horses and nature. If you are a guest in our B&B or a Camelot RV/Camper guest, or if you board a horse with us, you can enjoy the true peace of Camelot. However, we also offer private memberships to those who wish to enjoy our ranch that do not fit into a normal Camelot guest category. You do NOT have to own a horse, although this is the perfect way to enjoy your horse. We are proud to maintain this little piece of heaven for people who just want to escape from it all and rejuvenate. Whether you prefer the serenity of the back woods or enjoy riding with and socializing with other horse afficiondos, or even a little of both, your membership entitles you to enjoy the peacefulness of nature that Camelot is known for. We do not allow hunting. The best part....just pure hastle free, equine relaxation and rejuvenation with the peaceful sounds of song birds, wind chimes, chapel bells or at nite sometimes, the haunting yet beautiful call of coyotes in the distance should you wish to camp on our grounds. This memberships also allows enjoyment of our property on a routine basis and access to group trail rides, events, and socials with our ranch being the home base for your membership. And no, the coyotes won't bother you or your horses. Our horses are oblivious to them in fact. Your membership provides you with an excellent home base to Kisatchie National Forest which is about an hour away and Evangeline Downs Racetrack and Casino, 6 miles down the road. Below you will find the fees and member privledges. For those who do own horses, should you opt to camp, a fenced in pasture may be available, although not guaranteed. However, if not, you must be able to ground tie your horse or tie him to your trailer. If one is available, our fee to members is $5 per horse per nite.
