These photos were captured several hours after the eye hit some 75 miles away. We were still receiving squalls every 5 to 10 minutes along with stinging rain. The winds were steady at about 20-25 miles per hour with gusts up to 35 although it felt much stronger out in it. It had become necessary to move a mare and new foal to dryer facilities and some stalled horses had to be turned out as their stalls were full of water. Our stallion, Color Quest, being the gentleman that he is, agreed to give up his dry stall to the mare and his new baby boy! Click the thumbnails for a clearer view.
The final 4 photos are from our neighborhood in Lafayette.
Thankfully all people and horses came through it a little wet but in tact.
